ABOUT

NAFSANIYOUN INTERNATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY CONFERENCE

Nafsaniyoun International Psychology Conference series was launched in 2021 with the aim of bringing together leading experts, scholars, and practitioners from around the world to explore vital topics related to psychology, culture, and society. The inaugural conference, "Civilization and Its Discontents" , was a resounding success, attracting a diverse and engaged audience and sparking important conversations about the psychological, social, and political effects of crises.

In 2022, Nafsaniyoun International Psychology Conference continued its tradition of bringing together leading experts from around the world to explore pressing issues related to psychology and society. The conference was titled "Agora" , after the ancient Greek marketplace that served as a hub of intellectual and cultural exchange. Over the course of the conference, renowned philosophers, psychologists, and psychoanalysts from around the world came together to address a critical question: "What Will the World Be Like Tomorrow?" Through a series of engaging presentations and thought-provoking discussions, participants explored the complex social, cultural, and psychological factors that are shaping the future of our world.

WE HAVE ART SO THAT WE SHALL NOT DIE OF REALITY

FRIEDRICH NIETZSCHE

Millennia

We are delighted to announce Nafsaniyoun 3rd International Conference, taking place on October 1st, 2023, at the prestigious Nabu Museum in the charming town of Batroun. This year's conference, titled "Millennia" will try to explore the fascinating intersection between art and psychology, inviting participants to discover the transformative power of these two fields across the ages.

WHY MILLENNIA?

In psychology and art, the term "millennia" typically refers to the span of human history and culture over multiple thousands of years. This long timeframe is often seen as significant because it encompasses the development and evolution of many different civilizations, cultures, and artistic movements, which have all contributed to shaping the world we live in today.

MILLENNIA CONCEPT

In art, the concept of millennia can be used to explore how artistic styles and techniques have evolved and transformed over thousands of years, and how they have been influenced by different cultural and historical contexts. Just as an art historian might study the way that ancient Egyptian art influenced the work of later artists in the Mediterranean region, or how the Renaissance in Europe was shaped by a rediscovery of classical art and philosophy from ancient Greece and Rome. In psychology, the concept of millennia can be used to explore the ways in which human behavior, cognition, and culture have evolved over time. Psychologists might study how social norms and values have changed over the course of millennia, or how different historical events and developments have shaped the way that people think and behave today

vision

At Nafsaniyoun's 3rd International Conference 2023 "Millennia", we are excited to offer a diverse and dynamic program that goes beyond traditional conference presentations. In addition to talks and discussions led by artists and psychologists, we will be screening a selection of videos and documentaries that highlight the intersection of art and psychology. We will also be offering a tour of the Nabu Museum, providing an opportunity for attendees to experience historic and contemporary art in a beautiful setting. And of course, no conference on art and psychology would be complete without artistic presentations, which we are delighted to include in our program.
